Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Green River Pirates (Green River, UT) and the visiting Caprock Academy Eagles (Grand Junction, CO), saw Green River's basketball squad wallop Caprock Academy by a tally of 71-42.

With the victory, Green River improves its record to 4-14 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Escalante (Escalante, UT) to play the Moquis in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Moquis come into the challenge with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Eagles play the Soroco Rams (Oak Creek, CO) in a 2A/1A Western Slope challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Caprock Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 39-35 league win over De Beque (De Beque, CO).
