The Cavemen come into the challenge with a record of 18-2. Carlsbad won 39-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM)

Next up, the Rams confront the Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Portales will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 46-27 non-league loss to Artesia (Artesia, NM).
