Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dell Rapids Quarriers (Dell Rapids, SD), 78-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sioux Valley upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Cossacks travel to DeSmet (DeSmet, SD) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-5. DeSmet lost 50-49 in their recent non-league bout against Hills-Beaver Creek (Hills, MN)

Next up, the Quarriers play the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Dell Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record.
