The Sidney Red Raiders (Sidney, NE) basketball nipped the host Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE), 45-43 in Friday's non-league test.
The Red Raiders (13-1) will now prepare for their test against Yuma (Yuma, CO). The Yuma go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Yuma got by Akron (Akron, CO), 49-41, in a league test.
The Swedes now own a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Valley for a non-league test on Monday, January 30. Gothenburg will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 47-15 non-league win over Holdrege (Holdrege, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 10-2.
