The Melrose Dutchmen basketball team (Melrose, MN), was nudged 47-45 in Friday's league battle with the visiting St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN)
The Crusaders now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kimball for a AA Section 6 battle on Monday, January 23. St. Cloud Cathedral will battle a Cubs team coming off a 56-39 non-league loss to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN). The Cubs record now stands at 8-5.
The Dutchmen (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Osakis (Osakis, MN). The Silverstreaks come into the AA Section 6 battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Osakis edged Upsala (Upsala, MN), 53-43, in a league battle.
