The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Pocono Mountain East Cardinals to 51 in the Blue Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Eagles now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a Eastern Pennsylvania - Steel contest on Tuesday, January 24. Nazareth Area will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 85-33 non-league win over Pleasant Valley (Brodheadsville, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 11-6.

The Cardinals (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against East Stroudsburg South (East Stroudsburg, PA). The Cavaliers enter the Eastern Pennsylvania - Mountain contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, East Stroudsburg South ran past Notre Dame (East Stroudsburg, PA), 44-10, in a non-league contest.
