The Pomeroy Pirates basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting St. John-Endicott Eagles to 53 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakesdale for a 1B Southeast contest on Saturday, January 21. Pomeroy will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 56-50 league loss to Colton (Colton, WA). The Nighthawks record now stands at 12-2.
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Garfield-Palouse (Palouse, WA). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Garfield-Palouse ran past Rosalia (Rosalia, WA), 86-21, in a non-league contest.
