In Friday's non-league battle, the host Barbers Hill Eagles soccer squad scored a close 5-1 triumph over the Manvel Mavericks.
The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans come into the 5A Region 3 District 17 battle with a 1-4 record.
The Mavericks (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Texas City (Texas City, TX). The Stingarees come into the 5A Region 3 District 18 battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Texas City nudged Columbia (West Columbia, TX), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
