In Saturday's non-league outing, the Carney-Nadeau Wolves (Carney, MI) basketball squad edged the host Academy of Excellence Warriors (Milwaukee, WI), by a count of 43-40.
The Wolves (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Superior Central (Eben Junction, MI). The Cougars go into the Central Upper Peninsula outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Superior Central held off Munising Baptist (Wetmore, MI), 51-20, in a non-league outing.
The Warriors now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Maranatha Baptist for a Indian Trails outing on Tuesday, January 30.
