Sedgwick Cardinals (Sedgwick, KS) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Canton-Galva Eagles (Canton, KS), 53-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sedgwick upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Marion (Marion, KS) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Eagles play the Herington Railroaders (Herington, KS) in a Wheat State bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Canton-Galva will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
