The Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) basketball nipped the host Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), 59-55 in Saturday's league test.
The Capers (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Wells (Wells, ME). The Warriors go into the B South test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Wells got by Poland (Poland, ME), 71-60, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Morse for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 23. Leavitt will encounter a Shipbuilders squad coming off a 96-63 league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Shipbuilders record now stands at 3-9.
