With the victory, Captain Shreve improves its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Gators host Byrd (Shreveport, LA) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a 5A District 1 challenge on Monday, January 22. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Byrd won 62-55 in their recent league challenge against Haughton (Haughton, LA)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) in a 4A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Franklin Parish will attempt to improve on its 17-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 13-8 record after their 63-28 league win over Grant (Dry Prong, LA).
