Larimore Polar Bears (Larimore, ND) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cavalier Tornadoes (Cavalier, ND), 58-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Larimore upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Polar Bears travel to Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] (Leeds, ND) to play the Wildcats in a B District 4 bout on Monday, January 22. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] won 60-50 in their recent league bout against Hatton/Northwood (Northwood, ND)

Next up, the Tornadoes play the North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] Eagles (Walhalla, ND) in a B District 3 bout, on Monday, January 22. Cavalier will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 71-43 non-league win over Hatton/Northwood (Northwood, ND).
