The Gibault Catholic Hawks held off the host Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions basketball team by a tally of 53-50 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Hawks now possess a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Red Bud for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Gibault Catholic will confront a Musketeers team coming off a 69-51 league loss to Wesclin (Trenton, IL). The Musketeers record now stands at 14-8.
The Silver Stallions (10-12) will now prepare for their battle against Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL). The Aces come into the non-league battle with a 4-11 record. In their last battle, Mulberry Grove was nudged by Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL), 60-37, in a league battle.
