The Menlo-Atherton Bears basketball team (Atherton, CA), dropped 58-48 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA)

The Cougars now possess a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Teresa for a Blossom Valley - Mt. Hamilton battle on Wednesday, January 24. Christopher will confront a Saints team coming off a 64-41 league win over Oak Grove (San Jose, CA). The Saints record now stands at 12-5.

The Bears (13-4) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson (Daly City, CA). The Grizzlies come into the Peninsula - Bay battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Jefferson dropped by Half Moon Bay (Half Moon Bay, CA), 71-45, in a league battle.
