Roland Rangers (Roland, OK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Claremore Zebras (Claremore, OK), 63-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roland upgrades its record to 15-1 on the season. The Rangers host Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK) to play the Black Diamonds in a NOAA bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Black Diamonds go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Sallisaw won 61-48 in their recent non-league bout against Vinita (Vinita, OK)

Next up, the Zebras play the Tahlequah Tigers (Tahlequah, OK) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Monday, January 22. Claremore will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 57-49 non-league loss to Shawnee (Shawnee, OK).
