Furtah Prep Falcons (Acworth, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cristo Rey Atlanta (Atlanta, GA), 63-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Furtah Prep upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Falcons travel to Notre Dame Academy (Duluth, GA) to play the Irish Wolfhounds in a GIAA AA Region 1 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Irish Wolfhounds go into the bout with a record of 3-11.

Next up, the play the Fulton Science Academy Mustangs (Alpharetta, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Cristo Rey Atlanta will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 88-40 non-league loss to Horizon Christian Academy (Cumming, GA).
