Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) and the visiting Cuba City Cubans (Cuba City, WI), saw Marquette's basketball squad overcome Cuba City by a tally of 68-58.

With the victory, Marquette improves its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 22. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 3-12. Edgewood-Colesburg lost 59-33 in their recent league challenge against Central City (Central City, IA)

Next up, the Cubans confront the Riverdale Chieftains (Muscoda, WI) in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Cuba City will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record.
