Michigan High School Basketball - Detroit Country Day can't hold off New Standard Academy

The New Standard Academy Spartans basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets to 42 in the Spartans league victory on Saturday.
The Spartans now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Flint Southwestern Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. New Standard Academy will battle a Knights team coming off a 71-29 league loss to Beecher (Flint, MI). The Knights record now stands at 1-10.
The Yellowjackets (4-7) will now prepare for their match against Lake Fenton (Linden, MI). The Blue Devils enter the non-league match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Lake Fenton nudged Owosso (Owosso, MI), 68-39, in a league match.
