In Saturday's non-league outing, the Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) basketball squad beat the host Dougherty Valley Wildcats (San Ramon, CA), by a count of 70-50.
The Mustangs (15-8) will now prepare for their outing against Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, CA). The Panthers go into the Bay outing with a 6-15 record. In their last outing, Peninsula was topped by Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA), 47-43, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Amador Valley for a East Bay outing on Tuesday, January 23. Dougherty Valley will clash with a Dons squad coming off a 68-50 league loss to San Ramon Valley (Danville, CA). The Dons record now stands at 15-6.
