The Sycamore Spartans basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Elgin Maroons to 55 in the Spartans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Spartans now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dixon for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Sycamore will battle a Dukes & Duchesses team coming off a 56-51 league win over Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses record now stands at 18-3.
The Maroons (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Streamwood (Streamwood, IL). The Sabres come into the Upstate Eight contest with a 1-20 record. In their last contest, Streamwood was defeated by Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL), 71-58, in a non-league contest.
