Elite Academy Eagles (Fort Lauderdale, FL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mater Academy Charter Lions (Hialeah Gardens, FL), 70-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elite Academy upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to ABF Academy (Hialeah, FL) to play the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 9-7. ABF Academy won 85-62 in their recent non-league bout against Central Pointe Christian Academy (Kissimmee, FL)

Next up, the Lions play the Westminster Christian Warriors (Miami, FL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Mater Academy Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 64-55 non-league loss to Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL).
