Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Enid Plainsmen (Enid, OK), 53-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newcastle upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Racers host Tuttle (Tuttle, OK) to play the Tigers in a Western - North bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-6.

Next up, the Plainsmen play the Union Redhawks (Tulsa, OK) in a 6A District 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. Enid will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
