The Sardis Lions basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Glencoe Yellowjackets to 51 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 22-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gadsden City for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Sardis will battle a Titans team coming off a 69-54 league loss to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL). The Titans record now stands at 13-10.
The Yellowjackets (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Gaston (Gadsden, AL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 17-7 record.
