With the victory, Marquette Catholic improves its record to 18-7 on the campaign. The Explorers travel to Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-11.

Next up, the Greenwave play the Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 26. Mattoon will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Railsplitters come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 56-45 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
