The Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs (Roseburg, OR) basketball crushed the visiting Powers Cruisers (Powers, OR), 71-38 in Saturday's league test.

The Monarchs (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Yoncalla (Yoncalla, OR). The Eagles go into the 1A Skyline test with a 3-16 record. In their last test, Yoncalla was trounced by Days Creek (Days Creek, OR), 49-16, in a league test.

The Cruisers now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they travel to Myrtle Point for a 1A Skyline test on Tuesday, January 23. Powers will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 70-21 league win over Glendale (Glendale, OR). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-12.
