The Sharon Academy Phoenix basketball team (Sharon, VT), was overwhelmed 87-16 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting White River Valley Wildcats (Royalton, VT)
The Wildcats now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Green Mountain for a Southern Vermont - C battle on Tuesday, January 23. White River Valley will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 55-52 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, VT). The Chieftains record now stands at 8-5.
The Phoenix (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Proctor (Proctor, VT). The Phantoms come into the Southern Vermont - D battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Proctor trounced Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT), 68-44, in a league battle.
