Rogers Pirates (Spokane, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cheney Blackhawks (Cheney, WA), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rogers upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Shadle Park (Spokane, WA) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Highlanders come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Shadle Park won 44-28 in their recent non-league bout against West Valley (Spokane, WA)

Next up, the Blackhawks play the Mt. Spokane Wildcats (Mead, WA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Cheney will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
