In Saturday's non-league outing, the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), by a margin of 48-35.
The Comets (12-11) will now prepare for their outing against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the Illinois Central 8 outing with a 11-10 record. In their last outing, Manteno defeated Wilmington (Wilmington, IL), 47-33, in a league outing.
The Bobcats now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Grant Park for a River Valley outing on Monday, January 22. Beecher will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 49-23 league loss to Tri-Point (Cullom, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 2-16.
