Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) and the host East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL), saw Benet Academy's basketball squad wallop East Moline United by a count of 65-37.

With the victory, Benet Academy upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Redwings host Carmel (Mundelein, IL) to play the Corsairs in a East Suburban Catholic challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Corsairs come into the challenge with a record of 12-10. Carmel lost 43-39 in their recent league challenge against Marist (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 challenge, on Thursday, January 25. East Moline United will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 70-42 non-league loss to Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL).
