    The Eagan Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Elk River Elks to 48 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

    The Wildcats now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lakeville North for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Eagan will battle a Panthers team coming off a 63-35 league win over Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 11-4.

    The Elks (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Royals enter the AAAA Section 8 contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Rogers ran past Moorhead (Moorhead, MN), 69-59, in a league contest.
