    The Laurel Spartan basketball team (New Castle, PA), dropped 52-37 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Greenville Trojans (Greenville, PA)

    The Trojans now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilmington for a District 10 Region 4 outing on Monday, January 22. Greenville will clash with a Greyhounds squad coming off a 68-41 league win over Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 11-4.

    The Spartan now hold a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Mohawk Area for a WPIAL 3A 1 outing on Thursday, January 25.
