Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), 60-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Kennedy Catholic upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Maria Regina (Hartsdale, NY) to play the Tigers in a Catholic - Brooklyn/Queens II bout on Thursday, January 25. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Maria Regina lost 56-49 in their recent league bout against St. Joseph Hill Academy (Staten Island, NY)

Next up, the Paladins play the Academy of the Holy Angels Angels (Demarest, NJ) in a Big North - United bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Paramus Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Angels come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 56-48 non-league win over Westwood (Washington Township, NJ).
