Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM), 49-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Laguna Acoma upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Hawks host Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Del Norte lost 65-12 in their recent non-league bout against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Sundevils play the Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Sandia Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 55-43 non-league win over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM).
