The Ulysses Tigers basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Lamar Thunder to 24 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wichita County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Ulysses will battle a Indians team coming off a 78-33 non-league win over Cheylin (Bird City, KS). The Indians record now stands at 11-0.
The Thunder (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO). The Pirates enter the 4A/3A Tri-Peaks contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, St. Mary's ran past Salida (Salida, CO), 65-33, in a league contest.
