The Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) basketball nipped the host Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA), 58-51 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cubs (5-10) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Baker (Deming, WA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Mt. Baker was tipped by Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA), 65-25, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Bellingham for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 24. Meridian will encounter a Bayhawks squad coming off a 41-38 non-league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA). The Bayhawks record now stands at 8-8.
