In Monday's non-league contest, the host Calvary Christian Knights basketball team scored a close 62-56 win over the Ware County Gators.
The Knights (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Brookstone (Columbus, GA). The Cougars come into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 contest with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, Brookstone was tipped by St. Anne-Pacelli (Columbus, GA), 78-53, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Gators battle the New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA) in a AAAA Region 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Ware County will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Phoenix come into the contest with a 12-9 record after their 62-49 league win over Perry (Perry, GA).
