The Carmel Corsairs basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Jefferson J-Hawks to 40 in the Corsairs non-league triumph on Monday.

The Corsairs now have a 7-13 record. They play next when they host Benet Academy for a East Suburban Catholic game on Friday, January 24. Carmel will confront a Redwings team coming off a 64-53 non-league loss to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Redwings record now stands at 17-4.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 9-14 on the campaign. The J-hawks travel to Hononegah (Rockton, IL) to confront the Indians in a Northern Illinois 10 game on Wednesday, January 22. The Indians go into the game with a record of 12-8. Hononegah lost 67-60 in their recent league game against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL)
