Mississippi High School Basketball - Pelahatchie nips Choctaw Central

In Monday's non-league contest, the host Pelahatchie Chiefs basketball team scored a close 55-50 triumph over the Choctaw Central Warriors.
The Chiefs (19-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS). The Saints go into the 2A Region 6 contest with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, St. Andrew's Episcopal nipped Pisgah (Sandhill, MS), 59-35, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a 4A Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Choctaw Central will attempt to better on its 12-9 season record.
