The Hueytown Golden Gophers were victorious over the host Helena Huskies basketball squad by a final score of 58-43 in Monday's non-league contest.
The Golden Gophers (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Bessemer City (Bessemer, AL). The Tigers come into the 6A Area 7 contest with a 4-18 record. In their last contest, Bessemer City defeated Pickens County (Reform, AL), 39-29, in a non-league contest.
