The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lakeview Academy Lions (Gainesville, GA) and the visiting Lanier Christian Academy Lightning (Flowery Branch, GA), observed Lakeview Academy's basketball team overwhelm Lanier Christian Academy by a score of 92-60.
The Lions (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA). The Knights come into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 4 challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Bethlehem Christian Academy trounced George Walton Academy (Monroe, GA), 58-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lightning encounter the Peachtree Academy Panthers (Covington, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Lanier Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-13 record after their 62-56 league loss to Alleluia Community (Augusta, GA).
