Newton Rams (Covington, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Tri-Cities Bulldogs (East Point, GA), 69-65 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Newton upgrades its record to 14-6 on the year. The Rams host South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA) to face the Comets in a AAAAAA Region 4 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Comets enter the match with a record of 13-6. South Gwinnett won 83-57 in their recent league match against Heritage (Conyers, GA)
The Bulldogs now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shiloh for a AAAAA Region 4 match on Tuesday, January 21. Tri-Cities will face a Generals squad coming off a 59-57 league loss to Arabia Mountain (Lithonia, GA). The Generals record now stands at 6-13.
