The Byron Tigers basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors to 43 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Tigers now possess a 22-1 record. They play next when they travel to Dixon for a Big Northern game on Saturday, January 25. Byron will play a Dukes & Duchesses team coming off a 34-33 non-league loss to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses record now stands at 19-4.

With the loss, Sterling falls to 20-4 on the campaign. The Golden warriors travel to Alleman (Rock Island, IL) to play the Pioneers in a Western Big 6 game on Thursday, January 23. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 17-6. Alleman won 60-35 in their recent non-league game against Princeton (Princeton, IL)
