The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Camarillo Scorpions (Camarillo, CA) and the visiting Victory Christian Academy Knights (Chula Vista, CA), observed Camarillo's basketball team knock off Victory Christian Academy by a score of 61-47.

The Scorpions (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Royal (Simi Valley, CA). The Highlanders come into the Coastal Canyon challenge with a 4-17 record. In their last challenge, Royal was knocked off by Simi Valley (Simi Valley, CA), 46-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA) in a Metro challenge, on Wednesday, January 22. Victory Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 60-52 non-league win over Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA).
