In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Port Charlotte Pirates basketball team scored a close 2-0 win over the First Baptist Academy Lions.
The Pirates (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sarasota (Sarasota, FL). The Sailors come into the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Sarasota was tipped by Venice (Venice, FL), 43-29, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Canterbury Cougars (Fort Myers, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. First Baptist Academy will attempt to better on its 15-2 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 67-15 non-league win over Dunbar (Fort Myers, FL).
