The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA) and the visiting Maplewood Tigers (Guys Mills, PA), observed Grove City's basketball team edge Maplewood by a score of 48-41.

The Eagles (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Rockets come into the District 10 Region 4 challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Slippery Rock was tipped by General McLane (Edinboro, PA), 46-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Rocky Grove Orioles (Franklin, PA) in a District 10 Region 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Maplewood will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record.
