North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA) backers exited the stadium content Monday as they observed their ice hockey squad achieve victory over the host Northeast Metro RVT Knights (Wakefield, MA), 6-1 in a non-league game.
With the win, North Reading moves its record to 1-0 on the year.
The Knights now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Shawsheen Valley Tech for a Commonwealth Athletic game on Thursday, January 23. Northeast Metro RVT will confront a Rams squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Medfield (Medfield, MA). The Rams record now stands at 1-3.
