Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Woodland Warriors (Streator, IL), 60-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lowpoint-Washburn upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL) to play the Mallards in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 22. The Mallards come into the bout with a record of 3-13. Henry-Senachwine lost 55-42 in their recent league bout against Marquette (Ottawa, IL)

Next up, the Warriors play the Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 24. Woodland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 66-35 league win over Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL).
