The Avonworth Antelopes basketball team (Pittsburgh, PA), was nudged 45-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Aliquippa Quips (Aliquippa, PA)
The Quips now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Castle for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 24. Aliquippa will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 61-56 non-league win over South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 13-2.
The Antelopes (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Gladiators come into the WPIAL 4A 4 battle with a 14-1 record. In their last battle, South Allegheny edged Mars (Mars, PA), 59-55, in a non-league battle.
