Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks (Lawrence, KS), 79-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wellsville upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Eagles host Baldwin (Baldwin, KS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Baldwin lost 67-61 in their recent non-league bout against Heritage Christian Academy (Olathe, KS)

Next up, the Seahawks play the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles (Shawnee, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Bishop Seabury Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 54-41 non-league win over McLouth (McLouth, KS).
